About Dr. Akey

Kenneth Akey, M.D., F AAP is a board-certified pediatrician/GP who practiced for over 30 years in Orange County, California, as well as Idaho, Georgia, and now Montana.

As a graduate of the University of California, Irvine, School of Medicine, Dr. Akey now serves numerous states through telemedicine. In over 25 years of private practice, he has cultivated many strong relationships with his patients and their families.

Dr. Akey prides himself on one-on-one interaction with his patients. He is the only doctor employed at his practice, so he gets to know every child and every parent. This kind of interaction helps create the warm, friendly atmosphere that has won Dr. Akey multiple Patients’ Choice Awards and recognition as a compassionate doctor.

Dr. Akey’s passions include developmental pediatrics and nutrition. He stresses the importance of a healthy diet to all of his patients and their parents, as they are often the ones with ultimate control over what their child eats.

He also stresses the importance of a healthy family environment, especially to parents with adolescents and teenagers. He believes that close, loving families who provide their children with a solid moral foundation give their children a better chance at succeeding later in life.

Dr. Akey has extensive experience with telemedicine. Not only does he see his own patients through Anytime Pediatrics and ZocDoc, he also works for other telemedicine platforms such as: Teladoc, AmericanWell, and SesameCare.

When Dr. Akey isn’t providing warm, knowledgeable care for children, he enjoys working out, being involved at his church, and spending time with his wife, children, and grandchildren.
