The first moment of your newborn’s life is precious and something you’ll cherish forever, but the postpartum period immediately transitions into a huge responsibility – taking care of a human that is completely dependent on you. You’ve just endured the mental and physical stress of delivering a baby. It’s perfectly acceptable for you to need some rest after the initial bonding between you and your child, but your baby still needs care during this time.
